At Genesis, Dr. Wilburn offers many types of women’s services to her patients, including ‘in office’ procedures. There are several tests and procedures that can be done safely right at the clinic. Many patients prefer having their procedures done at the office if possible, instead of the hassle of going through any type of surgical procedures, as well as all the pre-op work-up tests and being put under general anesthesia, then spend several hours in the outpatient ward of a hospital or a surgery center.
For women who suffer from infertility, multiple miscarriages, tumors, atrophy, fibroids, polyps, scar tissue, excessive bleeding, and blockages, our clinic offers hysterosonograms. These examinations are considered minimally invasive; it is done to see if there is anything preventing pregnancy or result in a high-risk pregnancy that usually ends spontaneously.

Examination of the inside of the bladder and urethra through a cystoscopy is also possible at the office. If the procedure is being done in the office, then a local anesthesia is administered. Women who are not comfortable having the cystoscopy done in the office also have the options of having the procedure done as an outpatient procedure at a hospital or surgery center. Women will also have the option of the local, a spinal or general anesthesia. During the procedure, Dr. Wilburn will look for the cause of urinary tract problems.
